The Family

I am a proud Husband and  Father of four children.  They give me the inspiration to wake up every morning and be better at the things that I do.

My background in photography began at an early age.  My youth was filled with photographing the moments in my family.  I started with film camera models such as the 110, 126 and disc.  But it was not until my Father gave me a Minolta Maxxum camera that it became more that just random family pictures.   My formal photography education began in high school and continued through college.

I now use the latest digital cameras.  But the camera is just the tool.  Photography is really about the eye of the person shooting with the camera.  

The Passion

I have owned a wonderful portrait studio in the pastwww.memoriesportraits.com.  But it was not until I started  photographing on the beaches of Hilton Head Island that I found my passion.  It clicked for me.  I now try to blur the line between traditional photography and painted art.  My clients sure take notice of this when viewing their images with me.  They often say I want a display canvas of this one because it is a piece of art.  I love that comment!
